Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead cloud ERP, data engineering, and analytics initiatives for enterprise systems supporting statewide operations. This role is responsible for end-to-end delivery of projects involving cloud platforms (AWS, OCI), data platforms (Snowflake), and ERP systems.

The ideal candidate combines strong project management expertise with a solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and modern analytics environments.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead medium-to-large IT projects through all phases: initiation, planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and closure
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, RAID logs, and executive dashboards
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
  • Apply Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies as appropriate
  • Manage project scope, risks, issues, and change control processes
  • Oversee vendor performance, contracts, and procurement activities

Cloud & Data Platform Initiatives

  • Lead cloud migration and modernization efforts across AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
  • Oversee implementation of data platforms including Snowflake and related services
  • Coordinate development of ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows using Python, AWS Glue, Lambda, and orchestration tools
  • Ensure alignment with security, governance, and compliance standards

Technical Oversight

  • Provide oversight of data engineering solutions, including Python-based pipelines and integrations
  • Ensure seamless integration with enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, HR, finance platforms)
  • Identify technical risks, dependencies, and performance issues impacting delivery

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage risk, issue, and change logs, and implement mitigation strategies
  • Support audit readiness and compliance reporting

Stakeholder Communication & Engagement

  • Engage with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams
  • Facilitate requirement gathering, workshops, and stakeholder interviews
  • Deliver regular project updates, reports, and executive briefings
  • Represent the organization in cross-agency meetings and public forums

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Proven experience managing large-scale IT or data platform projects
  • Strong understanding of cloud environments (AWS, OCI) and data platforms (Snowflake)
  • Experience with data engineering concepts (ETL/ELT, pipelines, Python)
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid)
  • Strong risk management, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
